본 과목은 컴퓨터를 이용하여 인간의 언어를 이해하고 생성하기 위한 자연어처리의 핵심 원리와 다양한 응용 사례를 학습한다. 이를 위하여, 규칙기반, 통계기반, 그리고 딥러닝 기반의 자연어처리 접근법을 학습하고, 자연어처리 기술을 이용한 대화시스템, 기계번역, 정보검색, 텍스트 마이닝 분석 등에 대한 응용 기술에 대해서 학습한다. 

This course covers core principles and applications of natural language processing for the understanding and generation of human language using computers. To this end, rule-based methods, statistical approaches, and deep learning approaches are studied, and also the application techniques such as dialogue systems, machine translation, information retrieval, and text mining will be included.
