    ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

    Fostering convergent and creative human resources who can develop and apply artificial intelligence technology that can be applied to various fields such as basic science and engineering according to the arrival of the 4th industrial revolution and technological development paradigm change

    What is Interdisciplinary major?

    • This is a major that combines two or more departments into a separate curriculum. The goal is to provide students with diverse educational opportunities and foster convergent human resources through practicality enhancement.

    • Students who have enrolled in their first major and have been registered for more than three semesters can choose to take this course as a second major, and an artificial intelligence convergence curriculum was opened with 6 related departments on campus in the spring of 2019.

    Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Major

    Along with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the demand for artificial intelligence applications in various academic fields including all industries is increasing rapidly, and specialized education that meets these demands is urgently needed. However, the interdisciplinary convergence research of artificial intelligence technology is not active in Korea.

    This convergence major provides basic knowledge on the core technologies (AI, IoT, cloud computing, big data, etc.) of AI and the 4th Industrial Revolution, and convergence-focused education for scholars in various fields such as mechanical engineering, brain cognitive science, biomedical engineering, industrial management engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and computer science on how to integrate AI technologies and develop new technologies in terms of each field.

    Based on this, we will secure international technological competitiveness by fostering key human resources creative and innovative in thinking and contributing to new technology development and market creation, out of the traditional academic thinking and implementation framework.
